Devilmun II

Distinguished delegates and advisors,

My name is Andrew Ritter and it is my absolute honor to introduce the second intercollegiate Model United Nations conference at Arizona State University, DevilMUN II. Located within the beautiful Valley of the Sun at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, I hope that this conference fosters the opportunity for rigorous debate, hard discussions on pressing issues, and most of all, memories that will last a lifetime. I cordially invite you to visit and enjoy the iconic sunshine that Arizona has to offer and in addition, a conference that is both engaging and innovative in solving real-world issue.

DevilMUN II marks the continuation of DevilMUN I, the first and only international collegiate conference in the American Southwest. This project carries so much importance and meaning not just for me, but for the entire Model United Nations at ASU organization as a whole. It is not only an honor for me to be carrying on a project that not only has made Arizona State University history, but also history in the Model United Nations scene in the American Southwest as a whole. Our organization strives to make committees as innovating and nuanced as possible, which allows for more complex debate and more desirable outcomes, and it is with this in mind that as an organization, we hope to give delegates the tools they need to lead, take action, and solve problems in the world today.

Outside of conference, we additionally invite you to enjoy the warm and hospitable atmosphere of Tempe, Arizona, whether that be taking nighttime walks along Tempe Town Lake, enjoying the active nightlife along Mill Ave., or the very unpredictable and fascinating Arizona State University campus. Whatever you enjoy, Tempe has it. We look forward to that opening gavel sound on February 4th, 2027, and most of all, we look forward to seeing you, the delegates, come and visit and have a beautiful time at DevilMUN II!
